Why Is There A $500 PTAC w/Heat Pump (PTHP) Rebate?
Conventional PTAC units are often found in hotel and motel rooms and offer individualized temperature control. Older PTAC systems use electric resistance coils which is one of the most expensive ways to heat a space. Packaged Terminal Heat Pumps (PTHPs) utilize heat pump technology and are three times as efficient as PTAC units, helping you reduce your business’ energy costs.
How You Qualify For The $500 PTHP Rebate Credit?
- Offers valid only for commercial customers in Massachusetts and NH where Cape Light Compact, Eversource, National Grid, or Unitil is the Program Sponsor.
- Equipment must be purchased from a participating distributor. PTAC Energy Solutions is a participating distributor for this program.
- New PTHP replacement units must meet the minimum EER and COP rating requirements and a pre-approved brand and model for the program.
- You cannot already be receiving an incentive for the PTHP units through another program from the Sponsors of Mass Save

No minimum unit order to get your $500 Per PTAC Rebate you would still be responsible for paying factory freight charges. If you order 5 or more units and they are shipped at one time freight is included with your order so ordering 5+ units makes sense..
Yes. This PTAC rebate incentive program will deduct the $500 rebate credit from your invoice and you just pay the difference. No need to pay upfront or wait for a rebate check. For example let's say you purchase (5) 7,000 BTU PTAC units at $629 each. We will deduct $500 per PTAC and you pay just $99 at time of purchase. (subject to applicable state sales tax).
Yes you can. As long as your in house maintenance or engineering staff is knowledgeable about installing PTAC units and programming them you do not need to hire a third party contractor.
We can arrange to have your old PTAC units picked up in some cases and even buy them back from you. Just let us know what brand and model you have and send us some photos.
